| Personal History | (working on this) The first-born son of Betazoid parents, born in the city of Lake Cataria near the Cataran Mountains, on Betazed. While most Betazoids develop their telepathic abilities in adolescence, Kesden Lokn was born with his telepathic abilities already active, making him a powerful and talented telepath, yet troubled person. To help him cope, his parents had a psionic inhibitor placed in the paracortex area of his brain, causing him to have very few abilities. Over time, he's become dependent upon it, yet no longer troubled like he was, and considered mentally stable. If taken out, the sudden renewed activity of his telepathic cortex will start to kill him. He can only be without it for a short time or go into neural shock. (more) While being experimented on during the Dominion occupation of Betazed, a hidden and powerful telekinetic ability was released in Kesden, killing many laboratory workers and Dominion security. The psionic inhibitor does not affect his telekinesis ability, located in the orbital cortex. Because of his telepathic strength, Kesden became acutely aware of the supernatural presence around him before his psionic inhibitor was reinstalled. |
